G42 and Copelouzos Sign MoUs to Explore an AI Factory in Greece
G42 announced the memoranda on October 26, with Khazna Data Centers and Core42 as the UAE side and Greek infrastructure group Copelouzos as the partner. The agreements were signed in Athens on October 22 during a UAE Ministry of Foreign Trade mission. The planned AI factory would combine data center infrastructure with AI cloud and compute capabilities. The mission produced 12.75 billion euros of bilateral deals, according to the figures reported alongside the signing. Location, capacity, financing and opening date remain unresolved until definitive contracts and regulatory approval are completed. For AI builders, the project shows Gulf sovereign compute capital moving into Southeast Europe. Founders serving European public sector or regulated buyers may gain local capacity options later, but no pricing or capacity is public yet, so workload planning should wait for the signed contracts.
