Hi, I'm Matt, here's what I'm building

I'm Matt Beucler, founder and CEO of Plura AI in Las Vegas. We build AI agents that run full customer conversations across voice, SMS, RCS, and web chat from one platform. They call a new lead within seconds of a form fill, qualify them, handle objections, then book the appointment or warm-transfer to a human. If nobody picks up, the same agent follows up by text.

The screenshots are from our builder: a live outbound appointment-setting workflow (client details removed). Every box is a node: AI conversation, condition, tag, field update, API call. Every line is a decision trigger the agent fires mid-conversation: booking-accepted, reschedule-requested, wrong-person, non-English. That's what an agent looks like after it meets real leads. The last shot is our ops dashboard.

Background: 30+ years in call centers, telephony, and enterprise software. Before Plura I was President of The Blacklist Alliance and CEO of Number Verifier, TCPA-protection and caller-reputation companies that are now part of Sonera. That shapes how I think about outbound AI: compliance and deliverability matter as much as the model.

What I've learned so far:

  • The model is the easy part. Whether the call gets answered (number reputation, branded caller ID) and whether the handoff lands decide the outcome. It's why we run our own FCC-licensed carrier, Plura Connect, instead of building on Twilio.
  • Production agents are mostly edge cases. The happy path is a handful of nodes. Everything else is reschedules, wrong numbers, "who is this?", and people who want a human.
  • Voice alone leaves deals on the table. A missed call should turn into a text, and RCS lets the agent send the contract or payment link right in the thread.

Two things I'd love input on:

  1. If you run AI voice or SMS agents, how are you handling consent, TCPA, and carrier filtering at scale?
  2. Who has taken live transfers or appointment booking from pilot to production in a regulated industry (insurance, healthcare, financial services)? What broke first?

Happy to return the favor. If you're stuck on TCPA, 10DLC, caller ID reputation, or call-center ops, ask me. I've probably seen it break. What's everyone else building?

I find all of the new ideas running with responsible use of AI fascinating. This looks incredible.
