Our free tools bring more search traffic than our blog. What is your best organic channel?

A lesson from running PromoPilot (an SEO platform, built solo from Kyiv). We have a blog, a knowledge base and product pages, but the pages that bring the most search traffic are our free tools that work without signup: AI text detector, humanizer, SynthID and watermark checkers, EXIF remover, llms.txt generator, schema validator, index checker, 100+ in total.

Why I think it works: a tool page matches a task query ("check if this text is AI", "remove EXIF from a photo"), the intent is obvious, so Google is willing to rank a small domain for it. People bookmark tools and come back, and some link to them from forums and docs without being asked. And every tool is a natural entry point to the paid product, because the visitor already has the problem.

Two things we got wrong on the way. A view counter was bumping lastmod on every visit, so Bing decided every page changed all the time and started crawling us less; now IndexNow fires only on real edits. And Search Console flagged the images in our schema that had no license or creditText, an easy global fix once you know about it.

Question for the room: what one small free utility could your product spin off this week? And what has been your best organic channel so far?
