Cultivo
Cultivo is a public benefit corporation. Its AI platform (satellite imagery, machine learning and ground-truth data) originates and monitors land-regeneration projects that remove carbon, restore biodiversity and improve water storage. It partners with institutional investors, corporations, NGOs and landowners such as ranchers. Revenue comes from payments for services unlocked by land regeneration, mainly carbon removal. In 2024 it raised a $14M Series A led by MassMutual Ventures and Octopus Energy Generation, which brought total funding to over $20M. It acquired grassland developer Kateri in December 2025. In March 2026 Octopus Energy Generation added $60M to its existing $40M agreement, making a $100M partnership.
