Founded in 2021 by neonatologist Dr. David Van Laere, Innocens is a spin-off of the University of Antwerp and Antwerp University Hospital (UZA). The company develops an AI-powered digital assistant that continuously analyzes patient monitoring data to identify subtle changes that may indicate deterioration or sepsis in premature babies, helping clinicians assess risks earlier and make faster decisions.
