Freshworks acquires Robusta to add AI incident investigation to Freshservice
Freshworks said it bought Robusta Dev, an Israel-based company whose AI agents examine monitoring data, infrastructure information and recent code or configuration changes to trace outages to their root causes. The technology will be folded into Freshservice, the IT service management product, and paired with FireHydrant, the AI-native incident management platform Freshworks agreed to acquire in December 2025. Neither company disclosed the purchase price. The deal follows Freshworks' Torii purchase, which is part of a wave of IT operations buying this year. Torii was announced earlier in October to expand AI spend governance and is recorded in this ledger at an undisclosed price. Robusta was co-founded by Natan Yellin and Arik Alon, and its agents are built for incident investigation rather than general service desk work. For founders, the purchase shows a public software vendor buying a narrow agentic diagnostic tool rather than a broad platform. Products that answer one operational question with clear evidence can attract acquirers even when the terms stay private.
