Grayscale Ventures
About Grayscale Ventures
A first-cheque (Pre-Seed) VC fund backing technical founders building infrastructure and AI from India for the world.
Grayscale Ventures is an investment firm listed in Bengaluru, India. A Private Equity International profile gives 2023 as the founding year and names Nikhil Kapur and Siddharth Verma as partners, both based in Bengaluru. An older Outlook Business report on the firm's micro-fund names the same two founders but describes the firm as Singapore-based, so the registered location may have changed. The PEI profile lists one closed fund, Grayscale Ventures Fund I, and does not publish its size.
The PEI profile says the firm focuses on pre-seed and seed-stage companies in infrastructure, developer tools and devInfra, AI infrastructure, AI agents and vertical infrastructure. The Outlook Business report on its micro-fund says it targets pre-seed AI, vertical SaaS and development infrastructure start-ups, and that it prefers to lead or co-lead rounds alongside other specialised funds. The two companies named in that report are Olvy, a SaaS start-up, and Localwell, a pharmaceutical billing software provider. Neither was described there as an AI company, and I found no public list of AI portfolio companies with rounds and years.
Public listings point to pre-seed and seed as the firm's stages. The Outlook Business report says the micro-fund writes checks between $200,000 and $1 million into 15 to 20 companies over a decade, with a target of about 10 percent ownership in each. It also reports a $10 million raise for the micro-fund and a $20 million fund size. That article is several years old, so these terms may have changed; confirm them with the firm before pitching.
