Kuaishou launches Kling 4.0 video model with 30-second single-pass clips and 10-bit HDR
Kling 4.0 went live on October 15 and was announced more widely on October 16. Omni Reference mixes up to 10 images, 5 videos and 7 subjects, capped at 15 references in total, along with up to 10 keyframes. Video extension reaches two minutes. Output supports 10-bit HDR, and Kuaishou says 4K, 1080p and 21:9 ultrawide formats are coming. The model is pitched at fast motion and complex camera moves such as tracking and orbit shots, a common weak spot in AI video. Trade coverage adds that Kling is exposing the model to agents through MCP and command-line hooks, with Adobe Firefly availability listed as coming soon. Kuaishou frames the market as having moved from whether AI can make video at all to whether it can do so reliably and with precise control. For builders in video, ads and creative tooling, the practical changes are longer single takes, richer reference conditioning and agent-friendly access. Those cut the stitching work that many pipelines still do by hand, and they raise the bar for competing video APIs.
