AI agents that cite their sources: Vidhaan, student in Lucknow

I'm Vidhaan, an Electrical Computer Engineering student at Thapar, graduating in 2027, based in Lucknow. I build AI agents that cite their sources and ship them on Google Cloud, mostly with Gemini, Google ADK, Claude Code and ElevenLabs, with Next.js, FastAPI and Cloud Run around them. Recent work includes a retrieval system that quotes the statute instead of guessing, a voice agent that answers a farmer's phone call, and a multi-agent civic platform that won Smart India Hackathon 2025.

Lately I've been working in other people's codebases. I merged 20 pull requests into BOSS Console, which placed 2nd in RISA Labs' open source hackathon, and landed fixes in Apicurio Registry, kestra and cognee. I'm figuring out what my first full-time role should look like.

What I'd love: an intro to a team hiring for software or forward-deployed engineering roles in AI agents.

Welcome to Lounge, Vidhaan. The statute-quoting retrieval system and the farmer's phone call agent are both cases where a wrong answer has real consequences. How do you check that a quoted citation actually supports the claim, and does the voice agent handle that differently under latency pressure?
