Before you buy links, check which of your pages Google has actually indexed

A pattern we keep seeing while building SEO Radar at PromoPilot: founders want to push the page they care most about, but the page that pays back is usually a different one.

How we pick pages now, straight from Search Console data. First, drop every page that is not indexed or is canonicalised to another URL. Links do not fix that, so those pages get removed from the plan and get an indexing fix instead. Second, if two of your own pages rank for the same query, merge or interlink them before pushing anything. Third, look for pages already sitting at positions 8 to 30 with real impressions. Those are the ones where a small push moves clicks, because Google already thinks they are relevant.

Then measure before and after per page, not per site: position, clicks, index status. Our results are honestly mixed, some pages barely move. One that did: an ad network client saw impressions up 3.2x and clicks up 36% over 28 days after we worked on pages picked this way.

Question for the room: how do you decide which page to promote first? Gut feeling, revenue per page, or Search Console data?

I'd pick revenue per page first, because a page that already turns visitors into paying customers is worth pushing even from position 25. Gut feeling is the one I'd drop, since founders usually pick the page they're proudest of, which is exactly the pattern you keep seeing.
