Industrial Fault Copilot: a Buenos Aires Java dev's AI side project
I'm Ruben Garcia, a Java developer at Itlg in Buenos Aires. My day-to-day is backend work with Java 21 and Spring Boot, and I use Claude and ChatGPT alongside it. On the side I've built CHOIR, a platform with a Kotlin Multiplatform mobile client for the Choir Corrector app.
Right now I'm building Industrial Fault Copilot, an AI assistant that diagnoses faults in industrial machinery. I started it for the AMD Developer Hackathon and it's still early, so I'm figuring out how to turn a hackathon project into something people could actually rely on.
What I'd love from this community: an intro to anyone who works with industrial machinery or maintenance teams, so I can hear how fault diagnosis really happens on the floor. Happy to swap notes on Java and Spring Boot in return.

Welcome to Lounge, Ruben. Going from hackathon demo to something maintenance teams trust is mostly a data question: manuals, fault codes and past work orders. Which of those will you ground the copilot on first, and how will you check its diagnoses are right?
