.NET and Azure for 20 years, now teaching .NET devs to build AI (Melbourne)

Hi, I'm Stuart Dobson. I'm a .NET and Azure AI consultant at Arinco in Melbourne, and I've worked in .NET and Azure for more than 20 years. I started coding around age 14 with a Breakout clone.

Alongside consulting, I write and speak for .NET and Azure developers who want to move into AI. My free publication, Learn to Build AI (learntobuildai.substack.com), covers agents, MCP, A2A and Foundry in C#, with runnable code. The core idea is to start small: build one agent in C# that calls one tool, then grow it from there.

I'm currently working on several AI applications, including a Code Review tool, a Homework generator, a Job Application preparation tool, and a video footage splicer.

I'm always keen to hear from founders who need technical assistance with interesting AI projects. Check out my website (stuartdobson.net) for more information.

Plenty of SaaS CEOs in SaasRise run products built on .NET years ago and want to add AI without a full rewrite, so your 'one agent in C# that calls one tool' approach from Learn to Build AI speaks right to them. That could also be a strong angle for your consulting, pitched to the CEO who signs the check rather than only the developers.

All over it :) arinco.com.au/blog/how-to-add-ai-to-your-existing-net-application-without-a-rewrite/ I do need to communicate more to CEOs though, I'll look into that.
