WE-solar: compare vetted local solar installers

Hi everyone, I'm Gerald, founder of WE-solar, based in St Paul's. We're building a solar marketplace that connects homeowners with vetted local installers. Homeowners get an instant estimate, then compare clear, side-by-side bids without fielding calls from a dozen companies.

The stack is Grok, Cursor, and GitHub Copilot for building, with Vercel hosting the site and Supabase handling the data. I also use Apollo.io for outreach to installers. The site is live, but I'm still early, so I'm learning which parts of the quote flow homeowners actually finish and where they stall.

What I'd love from this community is an introduction to installers or solar operators who have run their own bidding or lead processes, plus honest feedback on the three-step quote flow. I'm glad to trade notes with anyone building a 3 sided marketplace.

Installers are tired of paying for leads that also got sold to five other companies, so charging your fee only when a homeowner picks their bid could be what gets them to answer your Apollo emails. It also fits your promise to homeowners that a dozen companies won't be calling them.

Hey ryan thanks for the advice, yes Every channel B2B including homeowners are completely free to onboard but the platform does take a 20% cut on every transaction
