Investor fit research

Checks whether a fund fits your round: thesis, check size, recent deals, partner and conflicts.

Use it when
Before asking for an intro to a firm.
What you fill in
  • firm The fund and the partner, with anything you know
  • company Your company, stage, round size and sector
Assess the fit between firm and my company: company.

Using what you know (say clearly what you are unsure of):
1. Thesis and stage focus; check sizes; whether they lead.
2. Recent investments relevant to us, and any that compete with us (conflicts).
3. The partner's focus and what they publicly care about.
4. Fit score 1 to 10 with reasons, and the angle that would interest this partner.
5. A 3-sentence intro blurb a mutual connection could forward.

Flag anything that should be verified on the firm's site or Crunchbase before reaching out.
Before you answer, check your draft against every instruction above and fix anything that misses.
Replace each highlighted input with your details before you send it.
Why it works
  • Checks conflicts, a common reason for a fast no.
  • Tailors the angle to the partner.
  • Produces a forwardable blurb, which is what intros need.
