Andon Labs started in 2023 as Vectorview and went through Y Combinator's Winter 2024 batch. It is led by CEO Lukas Petersson and CTO Axel Backlund. It sells agent evaluations such as Vending-Bench 2, Butter-Bench and Blueprint-Bench to AI developers, and says it works with Anthropic, Google DeepMind and OpenAI. It also tests agents in real businesses: Project Vend with Anthropic in 2025, then an AI-run store in San Francisco and a café in Stockholm in April 2026, neither of them profitable. In September 2026 it opened Pion, its agent platform for running whole businesses, as a waitlisted research preview with revenue-share pricing. PitchBook reports about $500K raised, while Tracxn lists the company as unfunded.
