Gemini 4 Carbon
Google's figures put Carbon at 88.2% on SEC-bench Pro for identifying vulnerabilities, 54.8% on ExploitGym for exploitation, and 71.0% on CWE-bench for patching. Artificial Analysis ranks it first on its v5.0 index with 59 points, one point above Claude Opus 5.5 and two above GPT-6 Astra. Pricing matches the introductory level for Argon: USD $2 per million input tokens and USD $10 per million output tokens. Access is staged. Starting this week, Google will make Carbon available to a subset of cyber defenders and will gradually phase access to additional trusted partners through its Fairwind Program. Public access comes later, with no date set. The release builds on Gemini 4 Argon, which launched two weeks ago, and Google says it is also actively engaged in the U.S. government's voluntary process for pre-release model testing. These figures come from the company and have not yet been reproduced independently. For a team building on frontier APIs, the practical read is a shorter gap between model generations and a price ceiling that holds, but most teams cannot call the model yet. Plan migrations around the gated rollout, not the leaderboard, and treat the cyber scores as vendor-reported until third parties replicate them.
