Google ships Gemini 4 Argon to developers at $2 and $10 per million tokens, doubling after Nov. 30

The model is live in the API through AI Studio and the Gemini platform, in Antigravity for Ultra subscribers, and in the Gemini app and AI Mode in Search for Pro and Ultra subscribers. Google says it ranks first on the Vals Index, which scores finance, coding, legal and tax work, and that Antigravity teams raised agentic code submissions by more than 35% while cutting rollbacks by nearly a third. Introductory rates rise to $4 input and $20 output per million tokens after November 30, 2026. Google also began widening its Fairwind Program to hundreds more partners, giving vetted security defenders a version aimed at vulnerability work. Reuters described the release as an attempt to regain ground against OpenAI and Anthropic after months of delays and a DeepMind leadership change. More Gemini 4 models are still to come. For builders, the pricing clock matters most: roughly six weeks remain to benchmark Argon on real workloads and lock in cost assumptions before the rate doubles. Teams that route between providers have a new frontier option to test on agentic coding.
