Legal AI startup Legora raises $550 million Series E at $8.8 billion valuation

Atreides Management led the round, with Baron Capital, Capital Group, Fidelity Management and Glade Brook Capital also participating. Legora says it grew from $1 million to $100 million in ARR in under 18 months, and the next $100 million took less than six months. The post-money valuation compares with $5.6 billion at the company's previous round. The company describes its product as an agentic operating system for legal professionals and says legal teams are moving from AI assistants toward agents that carry out multi-step work. It is also expanding its geographic footprint, with the United States now its largest market by revenue. For founders, Legora's numbers show how quickly a vertical agent product can scale when it sells directly to professional teams. The jump to $100 million in ARR within 18 months sets a reference point for enterprise AI sales velocity. Builders in regulated sectors should note that buyers are shifting from pilots to in-house deployments, which changes pricing and support needs.
