Meta Plans $95 Billion Stock Offering to Fund AI Infrastructure and Superintelligence

Meta said Monday that it will raise the money in two stages: an initial $35 billion in underwritten public equity offerings, followed by $60 billion through an at-the-market program. Nvidia, AMD and Broadcom expressed interest in buying up to $5 billion of the shares, according to Meta's statement. The stock fell about 1.6 percent in morning trading after the announcement. The move follows a wave of large AI financings. Bloomberg data cited by The Daily Upside shows AI companies have raised $300 billion in high-grade debt this year, roughly triple the 2025 total, and SpaceX announced a $40 billion GPU leasing deal the same day. Goldman Sachs estimates AI-related capital spending could reach about $7.6 trillion from 2026 through 2031. For founders, the signal is that the largest buyers of compute are now raising equity as well as debt. Smaller AI companies should expect tighter competition for capital and watch how hyperscaler balance sheets affect cloud pricing and partner access.
