OpenSwarm: A swarm of agents, in the same place you work
The open-source code shows an Electron desktop shell around a React frontend and a FastAPI backend whose agent manager runs on claude-agent-sdk, with MCP tool discovery. Agents appear as cards on an infinite canvas alongside view cards and embedded browser cards. Chat sessions include real-time token output, per-session cost tracking and history that persists across restarts. The team says it builds OpenSwarm with OpenSwarm itself: agents work in isolated worktrees, propose changes and surface diffs for review. The name is shared with other projects. VRSEN's OpenSwarm is a terminal tool with 8 specialized agents built on Agency Swarm and 2.9k GitHub stars. Intrect's version runs multiple Claude Code CLI instances as agents on Linear issues. Google pitches Antigravity as "agent-first" too. For founders, the interface is moving away from a single chat window and toward a dashboard where a person supervises many agents at once. Building on one vendor's agent SDK gets a product out faster, but it ties cost and capabilities to that model provider. A shared product name also makes it harder for users to find.
