Hi, I'm Mugo, building search visibility for SaaS and fintech from Nairobi
Hey everyone, I’m Mugo Ndungu, founder of Tabio Africa, based in Nairobi, Kenya.
I work at the intersection of search, AI, and software development, helping SaaS and fintech companies get discovered, not just on Google, but also in AI generated answers across platforms like ChatGPT and Perplexity.
My background is in technical SEO, AEO, and GEO, but I enjoy getting my hands dirty with implementation, too. I’m not big on handing over a strategy deck and leaving someone else to figure out how to make it work. I like building the systems behind the strategy and seeing the results translate into real business value.
Outside client work, I spend a fair amount of time experimenting with AI tools and open-source models like Claude, Llama, Mistral, Qwen, and Ollama, alongside tools like LangGraph, Supabase, and Vercel. I’m still figuring out better ways to bring these into everyday workflows, so I’m always up for sharing what works, learning from others, and comparing notes on what doesn’t.
One thing I’m particularly interested in is how SaaS and fintech companies can become the brands AI recommends, references, and trusts when people ask questions related to their products.
If you’re building in this space, working on AI-powered products, or figuring out how to make your company more visible in AI search, I’d love to connect. And if you know a founder thinking about these challenges, an introduction would be greatly appreciated.
Looking forward to learning from everyone here.
