YipitData
YipitData sells alternative data and research on company performance and consumer behavior to institutional investors and corporate strategy teams.
YipitData, founded in 2010 as the deal aggregator Yipit, turns raw data such as email receipts into subscription research products. Hedge funds and other investment firms are its traditional customers, and it has expanded into brands and retailers like Ulta Beauty (2026). It raised about $492M in total, including a $475M round led by Carlyle in December 2021 at a valuation above $1B, and it bought Edison, a provider of email receipt data. In August 2026, Reuters reported that YipitData was working with Goldman Sachs to explore a sale at $2.5B–$3B, with about $280M in ARR expected for 2026 and growth above 30%.
