Yummy
Venezuelan super app for food delivery, groceries, pharmacy, shopping and ride-hailing, serving consumers, merchants and drivers in Venezuela.
Yummy runs a mobile super app for food delivery, groceries (including dark stores), pharmacy, fashion, events and ride-sharing, mainly across Venezuelan cities. Vicente Zavarce, who previously worked at Postmates and Wayfair, founded it in 2020 with Santiago Rodriguez Reggeti, and it went through Y Combinator's Summer 2021 batch. It raised $4M in July 2021, an $18M Series A led by Anthos Capital in October 2021 (then the largest round for a Venezuelan startup) and a Series B in June 2022 that FinSMEs reported at $47M, for about $69M in total. By late 2021 it handled more than 340,000 transactions a month with over 5,000 drivers in 12 cities.
