Zerto
Zerto, now an HPE company, sells disaster recovery, ransomware resilience and data mobility software to enterprises and managed service providers.
Zerto makes journal-based continuous data protection software for disaster recovery, backup, ransomware recovery and moving workloads across hybrid and multi-cloud environments. Oded Kedem and Ziv Kedem founded the company in 2009. It raised about $163M over 9 rounds, including a $53M round in 2020. Hewlett Packard Enterprise agreed in July 2021 to buy Zerto for $374M in cash and closed the deal in September 2021. At that point Zerto had more than 9,000 customers, more than 350 managed service providers and over $130M in run-rate revenue. Today the product is sold as HPE Zerto Software, including through HPE GreenLake.
