Remote is a global employment platform. It lets startups, mid-market companies and enterprises hire, pay and manage employees and contractors in countries where they have no legal entity, and it handles payroll, benefits, taxes, compliance, equity and visas through legal entities it owns. It earns money from flat monthly fees for each worker, for example EOR from $599 per employee per month with annual billing and contractor management from $29 per contractor per month. Founded in 2019 by Job van der Voort and Marcelo Lebre, Remote raised about $496M in total, including a $150M Series B in July 2021 and a $300M Series C in April 2022 at a $3B valuation led by investors including SoftBank Vision Fund 2 and Sequoia. Third-party estimates put its revenue above $300M in 2026, and recent additions include the Easop acquisition (2024), Contractor of Record (2025) and AI-supported HR guidance.
