About Arvind Jain
Arvind Jain is the founder and CEO of Glean, an enterprise AI search and work assistant company he started in March 2019. He is based in Palo Alto, CA. He earned a BTech in Computer Science from IIT Delhi and a master's in Computer Science from the University of Washington.
Before Glean, he was a Distinguished Engineer at Google from 2003 to 2014, where he led teams across Search, Maps and YouTube. His LinkedIn also lists roles as a founding engineer at Riverbed Technology (2002 to 2003) and an architect at Akamai Technologies (1999 to 2002). Glean's about page says he started his career at Microsoft.
In 2014 he co-founded Rubrik, the data security company, and led its R&D. Rubrik went public in 2024. Jain has said the idea for Glean came from watching employees at Rubrik lose time searching for information across SaaS tools as the company grew.
