Instinct, the $10B agent startup, puts its AI agent into group chats, even for people without accounts
Instinct, last valued at $10B, is rolling out group agents that users can add to shared threads to handle travel, tickets, carpools and events, including with friends who have no Instinct account. Personal agents ask permission before linking to a group agent, group agents are isolated from personal accounts, access can be revoked, and pending replies are held before new members can see them. The feature is in early access ahead of a broader rollout and positions Instinct against Meta's Muse, which lacks group chat, and OpenAI's ChatGPT spaces. Multi-user agent permissions are becoming a product surface in their own right, not just a safety afterthought.
