Pluto Security exits stealth with $42M to police the AI tools and agents employees build inside companies

Pluto's funding is an $8.5 million seed led by TLV Partners and a recent $34 million Series A led by Jump Capital, with Skinos and Ansa Capital participating. The company began selling in April and says it has passed $2 million in annual recurring revenue with more than 30 enterprise customers, including Oscar Health, Workato, Sixt and AlphaSense. Its software monitors AI tools, skills, extensions, MCP servers and the apps and agents staff create, flags risky components, and enforces policy without blocking use. CEO Shahar Bahat told TechCrunch that finance teams are the largest source of risk, followed by marketing and legal, with developers fourth. One example was a vibe-coded customer app at a Fortune 500 firm left exposed to the internet. She said a new AI tool can appear inside a company within two hours of release. For builders, agent and MCP security is becoming its own buyer category. Startups shipping agent products should expect security reviews to ask about skills, connectors and permissions.
