Retriever AI: Free AI browser agent: find leads, reach out, apply to jobs
Free Mode is funded by sponsored cards, and the daily allowance is 150 credits. Users can instead bring their own LLM API key. The agent runs in Chrome, Brave and Edge, in cloud browsers, or through API, MCP, CLI and SDK. It can also be called from Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and n8n. The company reports more than 7 million tasks automated and over 35,000 users. It also claims the top spot on Web Bench, ahead of OpenAI and Anthropic. This is the fifth Product Hunt launch for the two-person team of former Google engineers, Arjun Chintapalli and Bhavani Kalisetty. Earlier launches covered a workflow exchange, a cloud and MCP release in November 2025, and Rover, an embeddable agent, in February 2026. Rover and a data and evals line for AI labs now sit alongside the consumer agent. Competitors include Claude in Chrome, which requires a paid Claude plan, and Perplexity's Comet and OpenAI's Atlas browsers. For founders, the ad-supported model is the point to watch. The team ties it to cutting browser-agent token costs by 90% through prefix caching, so margins depend on cheap inference and sponsor demand. The speed, accuracy and cost claims come from the company, not independent tests.
