Hey I’m Saif, building NEXUS AI.

Hey I’m Saif, building NEXUS AI.

Zela started as the infrastructure layer behind NEXUS AI. I’m open-sourcing it so other builders can run and manage their own Docker clusters.

Bring your Linux servers and container images. Zela gives you a web dashboard to deploy applications, scale replicas, manage workers, configure encrypted networking, inspect logs, and track health and alerts.

It also has MCP support, so compatible assistants such as ChatGPT and Claude can inspect your cluster and help manage workloads using natural language, with read-only or management access. There’s a CLI and REST API too.

The manager and worker agents are written in Go, and the project is licensed under Apache 2.0. You can explore the dashboard locally in Demo mode before connecting real servers. The gallery and recording show simulated demo workloads.

Workload recovery recreates eligible managed containers on another worker; it does not copy application volumes or database files.
