What we shipped today

191 new members joined since the last post. Today we shipped full screen Shorts on phones, a steadier inbox, and a cleaner digest.

Shorts full screen: a full screen button on phones keeps swiping and the Back and Next buttons working, and taps on the controls now respond.
Digest: the From the feed section only shows meetups near you, the new members count covers the last 24 hours, and subscribers no longer see subscribe links in our own digests.
Shorts playback: videos start on phones with a tap for sound if the browser blocks it, no white flash while loading, no doubled captions, and the Learn tab on phones opens Shorts.
Member cards: a headline cut short on import no longer repeats inside the bio.
Inbox: the message box stays on screen while the conversation scrolls, threads open on the newest message, and the right rail shows your profile, this week's events, and trending.
Direct messages: free members can send 5 messages to people who haven't replied yet, and replies never count toward the limit.
Invite codes: members in the US or Europe get a member invite code with no use limit, and everyone else keeps 10.
Fundraising and Exits: now open to every member on the free plan, from the Deals page.
Spaces: AI Adoption and AI Engineering are new spaces you can post in and browse.
Welcome: finishing onboarding now explains points, shows your invite link, and links to your first post, comment and upvote.
Search: results that used to lead to dead pages now open the right news and research, and search is faster.
