Structured interview loop
Designs interview stages, questions and a scorecard so every candidate is judged on the same criteria.
Use it when
Hiring for a role more than once, or with several interviewers.
What you fill in
- role The role and its key outcomes
- team Who will interview
The prompt
Design an interview loop for role. Interviewers: team. 1. The 5 competencies that predict success in this role, each defined. 2. Stages (at most 4), which competencies each assesses, and who runs it. 3. For each competency: 2 behavioral questions, what a strong, average and weak answer sounds like. 4. A work sample or take-home that takes under 2 hours. 5. A scorecard (1 to 4 per competency) and how the debrief decides. Before you answer, check your draft against every instruction above and fix anything that misses.
Why it works
- Defines what good looks like before interviews.
- Behavioral questions with answer anchors reduce bias.
- Short work sample respects candidates' time.
