About
Ian Olson is the Founder and CEO of Pointerra, a Perth company whose Pointerra3D cloud platform stores, processes and analyses large 3D datasets for infrastructure, utilities, transport and mining. He is a chartered accountant who was managing partner at PKF in Western Australia, then led the surveying business WKC Spatial until its sale in 2016. Ian now focuses on digital twins and spatial intelligence.
Funding
Pointerra, which is ASX-listed (3DP), has raised at least $3M+ through post-IPO placements, most recently a A$2.05M (about US$1.4M) placement in 2024.
