About Lalit Keshre

Background

Lalit Keshre is the co-founder and CEO of Groww, a Bengaluru-based investing platform. Forbes reports that he created Groww in 2016 with three former Flipkart colleagues, and that it became a unicorn four years later. Press accounts name the other co-founders as Harsh Jain, Ishan Bansal and Neeraj Singh. Groww's IPO in November 2025 raised $83 million, according to Forbes, and made him a billionaire.

He studied at IIT Bombay and previously worked in senior product management at Flipkart, per Crunchbase. Tracxn lists Eduflix, which he founded in 2011, as his first startup. Crunchbase notes that he has received the EY Entrepreneur of the Year Award.

Angel investing track record

Databases count roughly 23 to 30 personal investments, depending on the source. Crunchbase and Tracxn each list 30, and CB Insights lists 23. Tracxn dates one early angel investment to the AttainU seed round in May 2019.

Recent entries on Tracxn and CB Insights include Juleo (angel round, August 2024), Theranautilus (seed, November 2024), FirstClub (seed, December 2024) and ZILO (Series A, February 2026). CB Insights records one portfolio exit, Fego, in September 2023.

AI investments

The Lounge deals desk lists Pranos Fusion's $6.8M seed round, announced in March 2026. Press coverage says the round was co-led by pi Ventures and Ankur Capital, with Industrial47 and Razorpay's founders also participating.

Pranos is a fusion energy deep-tech company, not a pure AI company. Its stack includes plasma-control and design software called JENGA, a compact tokamak platform and a superconducting magnet program. I found no other AI-specific investments by Keshre in public sources.

Investment focus

Tracxn says his portfolio is concentrated in India, with FinTech and Consumer as the top sectors among 18 in total. Third-party investor databases list seed, pre-seed and Series A as his typical stages. Keshre has not publicly stated a check size or a thesis that I could find, so neither is given here.
