AI investments

The public record we found shows one AI investment: Cigno. Cigno is a Swiss startup building AI infrastructure for management consulting. It closed a CHF 1.5M first round, listed on the Lounge deals desk as a seed round in June 2026. The round was closed only with leaders and entrepreneurs from consulting, finance and tech. Finini is named as an investor, and he joins Cigno's board.

Explaining his decision, Finini pointed to a team that built a real product while it was fundraising. He also pointed to an architecture designed to integrate into firms' workflows instead of bypassing them. He tied this to his twenty years building Swissquote's technology infrastructure.

Investment focus

There is little public information on his investment criteria. The only documented deal is a seed-stage, B2B vertical AI company serving financial services and consulting firms in Switzerland and Europe. His own comments on Cigno stress product execution and deep integration into client workflows. His check size, his target ownership and any other portfolio are not public, so they are not stated here.
