About Matt Fitzpatrick

Background

Matt Fitzpatrick is the chief executive of Invisible Technologies, a US AI company. He joined as CEO in January 2025. According to the World Economic Forum, he has raised $130M in capital for the company since then. He has also expanded R&D on its core AI software platform and pushed AI adoption across sectors such as sports, consumer and government.

Before Invisible, he was a Senior Partner at McKinsey, where he led QuantumBlack Labs, the firm's AI R&D and software development arm. His LinkedIn profile lists a degree from Princeton University and an MBA from The Wharton School.

In interviews he has said Invisible combines an AI software platform with an expert marketplace for human-in-the-loop feedback. He has described reinforcement learning from human feedback as key to reliable enterprise generative AI.

Angel investing track record

Public information on his angel activity is limited. The one deal we could confirm is Dubsof, a Dublin startup. Dealroom and the Irish Times both report that he invested as an early angel in its seed round. The Dealroom report puts his cheque at €10,000. He has not published a broader angel portfolio or a statement of angel check size that we could find.

AI investments

Dubsof raised a $6.5M seed round (about €5.4M by Dealroom's figure), reported in October 2026. BlueYard Capital led it, with Backed VC, Project Europe and Cocoa Ventures also investing. Dubsof builds bespoke software infrastructure that helps businesses connect AI tools to their existing workflows. Other angels in the round included Dylan Collins, through 10xHumans Limited, and David Singleton, a former Stripe CTO now at Meta's AI unit.

Investment focus

He has not published a thesis, stage preference or check size range for angel investing. His one confirmed investment is a seed-stage AI infrastructure company, in Europe, with a €10,000 cheque. His operating work is in enterprise AI deployment, AI data and evaluation, and AI agents. In a podcast episode he argued that enterprises need forward-deployed engineers to adopt AI. That is a view from his operating role, not a stated investment criterion.
