Claude adds live data dashboards and code-built animated explainers in beta
Dashboards connects to warehouses including Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks, Redshift and ClickHouse, plus connectors such as Salesforce. Users ask questions in plain language, Claude builds the charts, keeps them refreshed as data changes, and exposes the query behind every number. Motion renders reports and walkthroughs as editable code rather than generated video, then exports MP4. Both shipped October 8, and Enterprise admins must switch them on. Anthropic also took Docs, Slides and Design out of beta for every plan, including Free, and will retire the standalone Claude Design site on December 14. It says more than 45 million documents, decks and designs have been made in Claude. OpenAI pushed a similar idea a day earlier with Intelligent UI in ChatGPT. For builders of BI, analytics and explainer video tools, a frontier lab is now shipping the first layer of those products inside its chat app, priced into existing seats. Differentiation has to come from data depth, governance or workflow, not from drawing the chart.
