OpenAI lists unannounced gpt-rosalind-discovery life sciences model on its API pricing page

The pricing page has a "Life sciences models" table with two rows. Both are listed at $5.00 input, $0.50 cached input and $25.00 output per 1M tokens. OpenAI has not published a blog post, help article or system card for the new model. Only approved organizations in its trusted access programs can use it. That same weekend, OpenAI opened Rosalind Workbench in research preview. GPT-Rosalind was OpenAI's first domain-specific model series, fine-tuned for biochemistry, genomics, and protein engineering. It shipped with a Codex plugin that connects models to more than 50 scientific tools and data sources. OpenAI has said eligible organizations will keep getting the latest GPT-Rosalind models as they come out. For founders, this means OpenAI is building a family of biology models, gated and charged per token. That puts pressure on startups that wrap general models for drug discovery. The gating, which covers only vetted US enterprise customers, still leaves gaps elsewhere. OpenAI often lists models on its pricing page shortly before announcing them.
