About
For the past two decades, I’ve voluntarily stationed myself at the complex intersection of enterprise tech, clinical data, and healthcare innovation - a place where acronyms and buzzwords go to multiply. As the co-founder and CEO of nuvoteQ, my day job consists of convincing research teams that their trials can, in fact, be modernised. We achieve this through our FDA and EU-validated SaaS platforms, Nukleus and Kronus. Yes, they sound like rogue AI from a dystopian novel, but I assure you they are strictly programmed to handle global research data, not world domination. My thinly veiled ulterior motive is forcing the rest of the world to recognise Africa as a clinical research powerhouse. To that end, I spend my free time on the Clinical Trial Community Platform (https://ctc.africa), pointing a very large, unavoidable spotlight at the continent’s undeniable talent and untapped capabilities.
Before resorting to serial entrepreneurship, I survived the character-building trenches of massive Oracle enterprise implementations and held leadership roles at iOCO. Because I harbour a deep aversion to free time, I also helped launch Scigenix.ai (an AI-focused data consulting firm, because it's the 2020s and you have to) and the nuvoteQ Foundation, which backs impact-driven initiatives across Africa. Armed with IT and Business degrees from UP and UNISA, I’ve spoken at enough acronym-heavy industry forums (e.g., CPHIA, GHCC, ACDM, SCDM, ISCR, WHO, and EDCTP) to permanently damage my internal spellchecker. On a serious note, assisting with India’s COVID-19 vaccine rollout remains a career highlight - mostly because it was a high-stakes reminder that technology can actually serve a much bigger purpose than optimising ad clicks.
