About Amir Jerbi
Amir Jerbi co-founded Aqua Security in 2015 and served as its CTO. Aqua builds cloud native security software. MarketScreener lists his founder and CTO tenure as 2015 to 2025, with an end date of November 2025. Bloomberg now describes him as a former CTO and co-founder.
Before Aqua he was Chief Architect at CA Technologies, where he was in charge of the host-based security product line. Aqua's author page says he has 14 cloud and virtual security patents. It also cites about 20 years of security software experience. He has written for CSO Online and InfoWorld on DevSecOps and application security.
NFX Signal records five investments by Jerbi: Komodor (Series A, June 2021), Permit.io (Seed, February 2022), Backslash Security (Seed, March 2023), Orion Security (Seed, March 2025) and Rein Security (Seed, January 2026). The round sizes on that page are for the whole round, not his own check.
TechCrunch named him among the angels in Permit.io's $6M seed in 2022, alongside Snyk's Danny Grander and LaunchDarkly's John Kodumal. Crunchbase lists four of the five investments (it does not show Rein Security on his person profile), and its listing shows him as one of several investors in each round.
Rein Security is his AI-related round on the Lounge deals desk. It raised an $8M seed in January 2026, led by Glilot Capital. Calcalist reports that Jerbi took part, identifying him as the founder of Aqua Security, along with Ofer Ben-Noon and Yoav Alon.
Calcalist says Rein works on application security vulnerabilities and AI. It was founded by Unit 8200 alumni Matan Bar-Efrat (CEO) and Netanel Rubin (CTO). The other companies he has backed are security and developer infrastructure businesses. We found no public statement from Jerbi on a separate AI investing thesis.
His investments are mostly in security and developer infrastructure, and mostly at seed. Komodor was a Series A. The companies are Israeli, or have Israeli roots. NFX Signal tags his activity as Security, Israel Enterprise and Consumer Internet, and shows his current position as angel.
NFX Signal gives an investment range of $5K to $50K with a sweet spot of $25K. That is a third-party profile. We found no check size stated by Jerbi himself. We also found no public statement from him on what he looks for in founders.
