About Ofer Ben Noon
Ofer Ben Noon is co-founder and CEO of Talon Cyber Security. Before that he co-founded Argus, an automotive cybersecurity company that Continental acquired in 2017. After the acquisition he held a senior management role at Continental and served as CEO of Argus. Argus is now called PlaxidityX.
Calcalist reports that Argus sold for $450 million and that Talon, a secure browser company, was sold to Palo Alto Networks for $625 million. Talon was co-founded in 2021 with Ohad Bobrov. Team8 lists him as a former captain in the IDF's Unit 8200. It also says he holds a computer science degree from IDC Herzliya and studied at Wharton.
In a Calcalist interview he said he makes about one angel investment a month and has backed more than 30 companies. He said the amounts are small because investing is not his full-time work. He also said he cannot do deep due diligence on each deal with the time he has.
Crunchbase lists 11 personal investments and several seed positions. These include Atmosec (February 2021), Walnut (March 2021), Piiano (July 2021) and SafeBase (September 2021). It names RapidSec, Fabrix Security and Atmosec among his notable exits. It also lists him as a Crew Member at Jibe Ventures, a member at Cyberstarts, and an advisory board member at 10D and Monogoto.
The Lounge deals desk records three AI rounds with his participation: Rein Security (Seed, $8M, January 2026), Huskeys (Seed, $8M, March 2026) and NewCore (Seed, $66M, June 2026). Crunchbase labels its NewCore entry as a Series A.
Rein Security is the one of these with public detail. Calcalist reports that Glilot Capital led its $8 million round. Ben-Noon, Amir Jerbi of Aqua Security and Yoav Alon of Orca Security also invested. Rein works on application security and AI, using runtime context to separate vulnerabilities that are actually exposed in production from theoretical ones.
His public record is concentrated in cybersecurity and security-adjacent startups, with most known investments in Israeli companies. Most listed deals are at seed stage. He has not published a check size or a formal thesis. His own comment on checks is that they are small. Founders should expect an angel who knows security buyers and company-building from experience, but who says he has limited time for diligence.
