About Cédric O
Cédric O graduated from HEC Paris in 2006. He later worked as an adviser to Pierre Moscovici at the French Ministry of Economics and Finance (2012 to 2014). He was a founding member of En Marche and treasurer of Emmanuel Macron's 2017 presidential campaign. From 2017 to 2019 he advised the President and Prime Minister on digital strategy. He then served as Secretary of State for digital transition and communications from 2019 to 2022.
After leaving government in May 2022, he became an advisory co-founder of Mistral AI. Press reports say he subscribed to Mistral shares in April 2023 through his consulting company, Nopeunteo. He has also been a board member of the data and AI consultancy Artefact and a member of France's national AI expert committee.
Sifted reported that he launched an AI edtech startup called The Marshmallow Project and was nearing a seed round of about €10M. The report said General Catalyst and Balderton were participating. This was based on company registration documents and press reports, not a company announcement.
