About Guy Oseary
Guy Oseary is an Israeli American talent manager and investor based in Los Angeles. He joined Maverick Records at 19 as an A&R executive and rose to chairman. Maverick Records sold more than 100 million albums under his leadership. He manages Madonna and U2, has also managed the Red Hot Chili Peppers, and was named Variety's Music Mogul of the Year in 2022.
In 2014 he led the formation of Maverick, a management group built with Live Nation and several other managers. He is also a co-founder of Community and, per Variety, became a partner in the Web3 venture Bored Ape Yacht Club after signing its creator, Yuga Labs, as a management client.
Oseary co-founded A-Grade Investments with Ashton Kutcher, and later Sound Ventures, which succeeded it. A-Grade's portfolio included Spotify, Uber, Shazam, SoundCloud and Airbnb. Forbes reported in 2016 that the team turned $30 million into $250 million.
Tim Ferriss has said Oseary was also an early investor in Vita Coco and that Sound Ventures has had 86 exits and 26 IPOs. Pitchbook lists him as an active angel with 45 investments.
Ferriss states that Oseary invested in both OpenAI and Anthropic within weeks of each other in early 2023. Crunchbase and NFX Signal list a Stability AI convertible note in May 2023 with Sound Ventures as an investor.
In June 2026, swsh raised a $4 million seed round, and Oseary took part as an angel. Game Changers Ventures led the round, and Stellation Capital, SignalFire and MaC Venture Capital also participated. Swsh is a New York fan engagement platform that turns fan-captured content from concerts, games and brand activations into shared albums and first-party engagement data.
