Harry Uffindell
About Harry Uffindell
Harry Uffindell co-founded MeatMail, a food subscription startup, while at university. He scaled it to a $1.5M+ run rate and exited in 2014, according to his newsletter bio. He then worked as a lawyer at Bell Gully and as a management consultant in Sydney.
In 2015 he joined the US payments startup Tilt as its first APAC hire and became Country Manager and Head of Growth. Airbnb acquired Tilt. He later became Head of Business Operations and Strategy for Airbnb across Australia and New Zealand. He was named to the Forbes Asia 30 Under 30 in 2016.
He later held operating roles at Partly, a New Zealand company, ending as Chief People Officer. Partly announced a US$50M Series B led by DST Global Partners to bring AI to the repair industry. His LinkedIn says he finished at Partly and moved to New York to join Manifest OS as Chief People Officer. He writes Harry's Newsletter on scaling startups and teams.
His X profile describes him as an angel investor in 40+ companies, and his LinkedIn headline cited 30+ earlier. He has also worked as a venture scout for Alumni Ventures, Blackbird and TEN13, and has led a syndicate on Aussie Angels.
Public records show several investments. One is the Kiki seed round in 2023, which CB Insights lists at $6M. Another is Atomic8's pre-seed round through his syndicate. He also posted in August 2025 that he was backing Superpower. Crunchbase lists Hava Health (pre-seed) and Algorand under his name.
Bower is his most recent AI round on the Lounge deals desk. It raised a $2M pre-seed in August 2026. Startup Daily reports that TEN13 led the round, with Admiralty Capital Group, Edale Capital and angels including Uffindell taking part. Bower is a Gold Coast startup building smart glasses and an AI system that captures what scientists see, say and do during lab experiments.
He also backed Atomic8 at pre-seed. Atomic8 automates team check-ins and 1-on-1 updates and makes that data searchable with AI inside Slack.
His newsletter page says he is industry-agnostic and invests at the Pre-Seed and Seed stage. He is based in New Zealand and has more recently been in New York. His investments span Australia, New Zealand and the US. He has not published a check size.
