Angel investing track record

Tan's personal investing is not widely documented. Crunchbase lists three portfolio companies on his profile, but the details are not public in the sources we reviewed. His main public role is as an operating executive, so founders should treat him as a strategic individual backer rather than a full-time angel.

AI investments

The AI round we can confirm is RadixArk's $100M seed, announced in January 2026. RadixArk is a Palo Alto AI infrastructure startup. Reports say the round was at a $400M valuation, led by Accel and co-led by Spark Capital. Other participants included Nvidia's NVentures and AMD, along with Tan, who is identified as Broadcom's chief executive.

RadixArk works on AI inference. It is built around SGLang, an open-source project that reuses cached computation to cut the cost of serving models. Reports describe the aim as making inference faster and cheaper.

Investment focus

There is too little public data to state a stage or check size for Tan personally. His one confirmed AI investment was a seed round in AI infrastructure software, which sits close to Broadcom's own business in AI compute and networking. He has made no public statement we found about what he looks for in founders, his check size or his preferred geographies.
