About Mo Amdani

Background

Mo (Mohammed) Amdani is a co-founder and managing partner of Adapt Ventures, which he started in 2020 with his brother Ammar. Public profiles place him in the San Francisco Bay Area or Miami. He grew up in Miami and Dubai, and he holds a BS in Finance and Economics from NYU, which he finished a year early, and an MS in Finance and Accounting from Imperial College London.

While at university he and Ammar co-founded Sugar Clothing, a direct-to-consumer women's apparel brand. They exited it about 18 months after launch. He then joined Plug and Play Ventures in Silicon Valley, where he led seed and Series A investments and later became Head of Ventures for the EMEA region. He has also worked on a B2B subscription product at Qured in London. Crunchbase lists him as Director of Corporate Strategy at GK Group since 2018.

Adapt describes itself as an early-stage firm and venture studio. In a December 2021 profile, The National reported that Adapt had $10 million to deploy and more than 40 investments.

AI investments

The AI round we can confirm is Luel. Luel announced a $31.2M seed round in May 2026, led by General Catalyst and Lightspeed. Luel's announcement names Mo Amdani among the additional backers. Luel pays people around the world to contribute real-world data used to train AI models. Most of the other companies in his public record are consumer, fintech, marketplace and SaaS businesses, not AI companies.

Investment focus

Adapt is described as a generalist pre-seed and seed fund with a global mandate that can move within 24 hours. Mercury lists stages as pre-seed, seed and Series A, with a check range of $100K to $500K, and says he does not lead rounds. NFX Signal shows different ranges across his profiles, so treat check size as unconfirmed. Mo has not stated a check size in anything we found. Third-party profiles list consumer, ecommerce, education, fintech, future of work, marketplace, proptech and SaaS as sectors. Mercury lists geography as global, and one directory mentions the US and Latin America.
