About Sander Janca-Jensen

Background

Sander Janca-Jensen is a Copenhagen-based entrepreneur. He is co-founder and CEO of Flatpay, a Danish payments and point-of-sale provider for small and medium-sized businesses. Flatpay was founded in 2022 with three co-founders.

Before Flatpay he worked at Verisure, where he was Deputy Managing Director, Field Sales Director and Inhouse Sales Director. Earlier roles were in sales and management at Berlingske Media. He co-founded SimplyJob (2017 to 2018), Høreservice Danmark and Måtteservice Danmark. He studied at Copenhagen Business School.

In November 2025 TechCrunch reported that Flatpay was valued at €1.5 billion after a €145M round. He told TechCrunch the company had passed €100M of ARR in October 2025.

Angel investing track record

His public investing record is short. Crunchbase lists one personal investment, in Norlix. CB Insights also lists him as a co-investor in the Pluto.markets seed round in February 2026, which it puts at $6M. He invests alongside his Flatpay co-founder Rasmus Busk and with institutional seed investors such as SEED Capital.

AI investments

Norlix is the AI investment on the Lounge deals desk. It is a Danish digital insurance and pension broker for small and medium-sized businesses. It uses data and AI to recommend and place coverage, and to manage claims. In March 2026 it raised DKK 30M (about $4.6M) in a seed round led by SEED Capital. Janca-Jensen took part as an existing investor, alongside Rasmus Busk, Kristian Nygaard Johansen and Medley VC.

Danish business registry aggregators list him as a board member of Norlix ApS from April 2026. They also show a 5 to 9.99% ownership stake held through his holding company. Danish press later reported that the seed round was extended to DKK 40M in total.

Investment focus

The public record shows seed-stage rounds in Danish startups, in fintech and insurtech, usually next to a lead seed fund. He has not published a check size, a thesis or a list of criteria that we could find. Founders should not assume a range or an AI-only focus. Flatpay's own approach, which he describes as simple, transparent pricing and in-person field sales, is the clearest public signal of what he values as an operator.
