Santiago Siri is an Argentine technologist and entrepreneur. He began as a video game developer. LinkedIn recommendations and Crunchbase say he co-founded the Argentine Game Developers Association and founded Popego, where he was founder, CEO and research lead.
He later moved into civic technology. He founded the Democracy Earth Foundation, which the World Economic Forum describes as a Y Combinator backed non-profit building digital governance tools. He also founded Partido de la Red (Net Party), an Argentine political party. Per the same sources, he was a partner in Bitex.la, a bitcoin exchange in Latin America, and published the book Hacktivismo with Random House in 2015.
Siri is a co-founder and board member of Proof of Humanity, an identity registry on Ethereum. TIME reports that Clément Lesaege and Federico Ast were its primary founders, and that Siri led the creation of its universal basic income component. His GitHub profile currently reads "building ai democracy". He also hosts a Spanish-language podcast about crypto.
