Knocket: Chat with visitors from your website or link
The Product Hunt launch drew 178 upvotes and 42 comments. Knocket comes from Tencent's real-time communication business: the widget script is loaded from trtc.io, and its live chat runs on Tencent Cloud. A WordPress plugin is also available, and mobile apps on iOS, Android, React Native or Flutter can embed it through a WebView. All channels, including the web widget, contact page, Telegram and email, feed into one inbox. Knocket goes after established free chat tools. Tidio's free tier caps conversations at 50 a month and Crisp's limits seats to two. Tawk.to is free too, but if nobody responds, the visitor leaves. Tencent says the free plan is not a funnel for a paid tier, and it offers no explanation of how the product will make money. For AI founders, this shows that a hyperscaler can hand out basic support chat and messaging for free. That leaves little room for startups selling a plain chat widget. The value is moving to the AI layer, which answers questions from a company's docs and decides when to pass the conversation to a human.
