Gelei Deng is a Singapore-based founder and AI security researcher who co-founded Common Defense, an AI cyber lab that helps organizations detect and respond to AI-powered social engineering, phishing and other security incidents. Gelei holds a PhD in cybersecurity from Nanyang Technological University. He is the first author of MasterKey (NDSS 2024), a paper on automated jailbreaks of large language model chatbots, and he created PentestGPT, an open-source tool that uses LLMs to automate penetration testing.
